Dwight Dudley Posts Strong First Fundraising Quarter
Dudley Beats Fundraising Goal While Building Broad Support Across Pinellas and Florida

ST. PETERSBURG - Attorney and small business owner Dwight Dudley, the Democratic nominee for Florida House of Representatives District 68, released strong fundraising numbers in the first full quarter of his campaign, bringing in over $31,000.

"I'm grateful to all of the citizens, organizations, businesses and good government advocates who came together seeking a new vision for Florida," said Dudley. "We are building a coalition that knows we need rational, reasonable leadership in Tallahassee. I'm thankful to everyone who has invested in our campaign so far - there is much work left to do before November."

The campaign reported bringing in $31,165 in the bid to win the open District 68 seat, which exceeded the campaign's goal of $25,000 in its first quarter. Displaying strong fiscal discipline, the campaign reported expenses of $769, leaving cash-on-hand of $30,396.

Dwight Dudley was raised in St. Petersburg since age 5 and attended St. Pete High School, the Florida State University and its College of Law.  The son of a carpenter and one of 9 brothers and sisters, he served as an Assistant Public Defender from 1988 to 1996 and has been in private practice since then.  He and his wife Mary Rachel live in the Euclid St. Paul neighborhood with their three children, Devin, Mady and Quinn.
